EB-50

Project EB-50 took second place as an entrant into the design challenge hosted by Professional BoatBuilder Magazine. Given advancements in solar panel and energy storage efficiency, there will be an increase in electric recreational craft. My design is a production vessel with high tech features and a large entertainment space fit for future fast paced lifestyles. Features include a haptic feedback touchscreen at the helm and an OLED screen bedded into the salon floor. Reusable infusion bags and 3D woven e-glass will reduce materials waste and save on labor time. My design also incorporates the Sharrow Engineering propeller, greatly increasing efficiency. The vessel is equipped with automatic guidance and remote switching and monitoring from your phone. Paired with future “Smart Docks”, the feature enables the vessel to meet its owner at a destination without need for a crew.
